Columbus hops' popular oil profile, great for dry hopping, are an ideal addition to US IPA, US Pale Ale, Stout, Barley wine and Lager.
Popular oil profile, great for dry hopping. Part of “CTZ” with Tomahawk® and Zeus.
Development: Bred and selected from Hopunion breeding.

Usage: Dual purpose
Aroma: Pungent
Alpha Acids: 14.0 — 16.0%
Beta Acids: 4.0 — 5.0%
Co-Humulone: 30 — 35% of alpha acids
Total Oil: 1.5 — 2.0 mls/100g
Substitutions: Chinook, Galena, Millennium and Nugget
Typical Beer Styles: US IPA, US Pale Ale, Stout, Barley Wine, Lager

Great bittering hop

Came exactly as expected. Tastes great in an ipa

Great bittering hops

This is a wonderful bittering hops for IPAs and any beer you want to have a citrus profile. The bitterness does have a bit more of a bit than other similar hops so you may need to give more time for your bottles to sit. I usually start trying a batch at about two weeks but wait till about four weeks when i use this hops.

Citrus Explosion

Great hops. Really good to use for bittering. This goes very well when paired with cascade hops. Be warned that there is a pretty strong citrus/bitter flavor to this hops. I have used it for flavoring/finishing but find it a bit strong. Works better as a bittering hops and then pair with another citrus hops to get a well rounded flavor

Not just a bittering hop

I made a small experimental Single Malt, Single Hop (SMASH) beer with Columbus hops and it was really good. Not only is the bitterness good, so is the flavor. It has a piney aroma with a citrus taste as well.
