Product Details

This 24" Stainless Steel Curved Racking Cane has the same external dimensions as the plastic canes, but has a larger inside diameter, which allows for a smoother, faster flow. Stainless steel is the preferred material for most brewers because it doesn't scratch like plastic can, which could lead to contamination of your brews.  Use 5/16" ID tubing with this racking cane.

Solid racking cane

Purchased for use with the Transfer Pump along with some tubing. All worked well together.

I like the idea of a stainless steel racking cane.

Nice design, but one slight problem. The cap that fits on the intake end to hold the cane off the bottom of the vessel does not stay on the cane. I found this out while cleaning and sanitizing the cane for the first time, the cap would fall off. Now, in clear water, that's not an issue, but if it's in the wine or beer, I can't see that it's fallen off, and can't maneuver the cane to try to put it back on under the surface of the liquid. I don't know why it's so loose on the cane, whether I just managed to get a cap that was a little looser, or what. I ended up holding the cane up off the bottom a couple of inches so I didn't get any sediment.

Hi, We have not yet used our equipment! It did arrive in a timely matter, the cane and hoses appear to be in perfect condition. Just need a "round to it"! Will let you know the outcome. Thanks for asking
