Product Details

Not your typical amber ale, patterned after Belgian-style pale ales, which might be described as slightly less bitter, more fruity versions of English pale ales. Our Phat Tyre kit is copper-red with a fruity, slightly spicy aroma and flavor that comes from a combination of yeast and hops. A blend of Munich, caramel and Victory malts creates a sweet, toasty, bready character that lingers from the aroma through the finish.

If you liked Flat Tire Ale, you'll love this kit!

Jim's review

My Amber ale is still aging, will sample it in about two weeks. If I recall correctly I did not order liquid yeast I ordered dry yeast. The package of malt was punctured. So far everything else is going well. Jim Bauer

So I made this beer for a friend who was a big fan of Fat Tire. He stated it was a little too hoppy for him compared to the original Fat Tire. He liked it but told me to tame the hops a bit. I’m not a big Fat Tire fan but the beer is good to me.
