Product Details

Winexepert Private Reserve Italian Super Tuscan is the unofficial star of Italy. It's loaded with ripe red cherry, blackberry, juicy plum, and complemented with vanilla & spice notes. Rich & smooth with velvety tannins.

Sweetness: Dry | Body: Full | Oak: Heavy | Alcohol: 14% ABV

Private Reserve represents the next step in winemaking excellence from Winexpert. They've gone back to the drawing board, reformulating recipes to make sure they're always the best. Private Reserve has been boosted with grape skins, a bump in alcohol, a fuller body, and a more intense oak character. Bigger, bolder, more intense.

Because this recipe includes grape skins that take up more space in your fermenter, we suggest a larger fermenter like the Stainless Steel Sovereign or our plastic 7.9 gallon wine bucket.

Really Nice Full-bodied red

I have sampled and liked several super-Tuscan wines, so why not make some? The kit has everything you need and clear instructions. WineXpert kits make the process easy. I thought my fermentation had stopped prematurely, so emailed Midwest Supplies to get help, and they got my problem solved right away. Turned out I didn't understand that I needed to adjust readings on my new optical specific gravity meter and the fermentation was complete. Even fresh bottled this is a very tasty wine. Looking forward to even better taste after aging a few months. I reserved a gallon of the wine to make ruby port as well and that has turned out quite delicious.

Always consistent

We absolutely love the Winexpert Reserve kits across the board (mostly). It’s a fool-proof method that produces consistent results!
And Midwest Supplies was fast and fair with shipping!!!

One of my favorites

Wasn't sure how this was going to come out since it took so long to finish the initial fermentation but it came out great. Probably one of my top wine kits I have made. I did add the Bourdeaux Oak blend (sold here) and let it sit for a bit. It made a big difference. Not overpowering oak but subtle and gave it a little taste of spice. Will be ordering more kits and adding the Bourdeaux oak blend.

Wine expert super Tuscan with grape skins kit review

Just finished racking the wine expert super Tuscan after the primary fermentation. I tasted it and it is amazing how good it tastes already. I can’t wait to try it at bottling time especially with the additional oak cubes that I added. This kit is so easy and the results are so good that it is easily worth the extra money. It comes out to maybe five dollars a bottle for what taste like a $40 bottle of wine. Definitely worth it.
