Reviving Grodziskie Yeast:
In collaboration with scientists in Łódź and Warsaw, White Labs isolated the resilient strains found in pre-1993 bottles from the original Grodziskie yeast. Through meticulous selection, we identified two primary strains, combining them to craft the WLP548 blend. This blend brings authentic Grodziskie character with versatility across a wide range of wort strengths and temperatures, making it adaptable for various beer styles.
Each sip of a WLP548-fermented beer pays homage to Poland’s rich brewing tradition and the enduring legacy of the Grodziskie style!
*NOTE:*During summer months, we include complimentary ice packs with all liquid yeast orders. However, it is difficult to guarantee that the ice packs will stay frozen given transit times and particularly hot temperatures. For this reason, we recommend ordering dry yeast during summer months.
