US Goldings Pellet Hops are popular among ale breweries in the US English-style beers, especially Bitters and Pale Ales, Belgian-style Ales, Barley Wine

Popular among ale breweries in the US. UK Golding clones have been introduced for growing in WA and OR. There are no longer any BC Golding hops grown.
Development: East Kent Golding.

Aroma: Mild, delicate classic English-type
Alpha Acids: 4.0 — 6.0%
Beta Acids: 2.0 — 3.0%
Co-Humulone: 20 — 25% of alpha acids
Total Oil: 0.4 — 1.0 mls/100g
Substitutions: Fuggle, UK East Kent Golding, Styrian Golding

I've used them in English ales for bittering, and sometimes for flavor. They have a woody and earthy taste, which some may not like. It does go well with the style so I use them.

I made an English bitter and find the earthiness is a little too strong for my preference. I will use less next time.

Good aroma hops for mild beers

I like the aroma these hops give. Usually I add them at flame out and whirlpool, though I have dry hopped with them too. I use them only for English ales, I like my American Pale Ales hoppy and that's not this EKG.
