Good flavor, easy brewing

I’m a mead maker. I was asked to make some beer, quickly. I bought this stuff, used 4.75 lbs in a 3 gallon batch, simmered in hops, mugwort, and sweet woodruff, and used London ale yeast. Primary for 4 days, secondary for 6 days, and force carbonated in a keg. It made a nice brown ale the beer drinkers all loved it. Most people use these syrups as a main part of a more complex recipe, which I look forward to trying in the future.
