Product Details

Styled after southern English brown ales, our Nut Brown Ale kit is a great all-around beer: it's easy to brew (its dark color and rich flavor make it forgiving of mistakes), it's mild enough for light beer drinkers, but characterful enough for more experienced brewers and beer lovers. The finished product exhibits a deep copper color, fruity/caramelly flavor and aroma with toasty, chocolaty notes; and it tastes great after just a few weeks.

If you enjoyed Hex Nut Brown Ale, Smooth Nut Brown, or Castle Brown Ale, you'll love this kit!

Beer Brew Supplies

I received my kit on time and everything concerning the supplies and the process went off without a hitch. I miss the NB store on Grand! The need for a kegging part, or sterilization liquid I may need in an emergency is gone and I don’t like it. Not to mention the choice to brew on an unexpected rain/snow event. ALL the spontaneity is gone☹️

Easy way to have plenty on hand

This was my first solo brewing experience. I had assisted others in the past, but never brewed something all on my own from start to finish. This kit was very helpful. It had clear and complete instructions, which I cross-referenced to other sources whenever I was uncertain. I ended up with exactly the beer I was aiming for.

Very good

I have never had a bad batch with these kits, but this is one of best as far as flavor profile for us. Well balanced, and like another reviewer, reminded me of the brown ales I had in England. Not too heavy, not too light.

"Nut Bad" Brown Ale

I'm not a huge fan of brown ales, especially the darker ones, so I was pleasantly surprised with this one. This one is on the lighter, more copper/amber side of brown, and the taste is pretty mellow. Very drinkable, very English, very easy recipe.
