Big flavor, big impact. Medium and medium plus American oak impart a spectrum of intense flavors including vanilla, toasted coconut, toffee, caramel, and coffee. French medium toast lends a hint of spice and a deep mouth feel, giving the wine a solid tannin back bone to round out the flavor. This package is designed for use in a six gallon batch and the whole pack must be used to acheive the intended results.

Who needs barrels?

These cubes don't impart their flavor as fast as chips and spirals, but the flavor is excellent, with the oak and hints of vanilla.

For wine making I've been experimenting with different types of oaks. I like this oak taste and it stands up to some barrel aged wine I've tasted.

I made a wine using this pack and prefer it to a wine I made using an oak spiral. The variety was greater and the wine more complex. I also used them in a Scottish ale that came out great._x000D_

Good oak aroma and flavor

This is a good pack of oak to use with beer. I used 1.5 ounces for a Scottish ale._x000D_I soaked them in a few ounces of whiskey for a few days to sanitize them then added them to the beer. The beer had a really nice oak flavor and aroma.
