Product Details

Eliminate the need for siphoning with our new small batch glass fermenter! Attach your bottle filler to the spigot and bottle directly off the fermenter. The punted base allows the trub to settle out to keep your finished beer clear.

With over 1.4 gallons of usable volume the Siphonless Little Big Mouth Bubbler® fermenter provides nearly a half gallon of extra headspace for those vigorous homebrew fermentations.

Pair that with cleanliness of glass, a wide mouth, and smooth walls for easy cleaning and you get the perfect small batch fermenter!

Includes Drilled Stopper. Just add an airlock for a complete fermenter kit.

You can be sure to end up with 1 full gallon after adding fruit to this carboy.

They area great size for making vinegar or mini batches of wine. I have a couple 6.5 gallon size as well. So much easier to clean.

I could not get a good seal for the spigot. I will stick with using the plastic fermenters.

The BEST Option For Small Batch

I first saw these used on the City Steading You Tube channel. I started with the plastic siphonless LBMB, loved it but ended up switching to this glass model after momentarily forgetting PET isn't dishwasher-safe (uh, WOOPS - no temps over 140° F btw). I now have 4 of the glass siphonless LBMB and contemplating #5. Like so many have said, these are perfect for small-batch brewing or winemaking. I'm an apartment dweller, so the smaller form factor is very handy, too. I can have multiple batches running at the same time, which lets me have variety. As others have said, I suspect the top seal isn't as reliable as it could be - appears to be perhaps a compressed Styrofoam. This is not a huge thing and I'm pretty sure it'll be easy to MacGyver a solution if need be (use the existing seal as a template and replace with some 1/8" food-grade silicone sheeting cut to size).

Bottom line? Absolutely, buy one or more. They are solid, durable, and reliable, and for the price, can't be beat.
