It works to hold your auto siphon in place, but if you have excessive hosing and it pulls to one side, it can make the clamp shift around, which can stir up the sediment while you're transferring your product.

I can't imagine using an autosiphon without this. If you don't have a brew day assistant, then this will hold the siphon for you. I recently upgraded to a 1/2" auto siphon (which has never worked right, but that is a separate review), and bought this too.

It helps position the auto-siphon and keep it from sliding down, but by itself can't hold it in place. You still need to hold it with your hand.

The clamp helps a little, but it would be a lot better if it was a lot stronger. When the beer is flowing the weight of the tubing tugs it to one side and it comes off the bucket. For better bottles and carboys its better, add another star.
