An original recipe brewed by White House staff and shared with the world as a small batch recipe kit. Built on a big foundation of malt with strong tones of biscuit and toffee.

More than just simply black and roasty, this porter builds consensus with generous applications of sweet caramel and toasty Munich malts, while moderate bitterness and an ample dose of honey lets us all find common ground. In the times of divisive politics, we think it's especially important to remember what we have in common: homebrewing!

One of the best I've tasted

Eversince i started brewing my own. This is one of the best tasting beer. I hardly buy beer any more knowing i can have a more flavorful and relaxing drink by making my own. Thanks to NB for this kit

White House Honey Porter

The 1 gallon kit was easy to prepare on the stovetop, whereas I prepare 5 gallon batches outdoors in larger equipment. Also, the batch size allows for experimentation to develop recipes. I have a big mouth bubbler sized for these batches.

Great Porter!

This was my second actual solo homebrew. I infused this batch w/ vodka-extracted coffee and vanilla beans at bottling. Conditioned for a couple of weeks and the beer is outstanding!

Wonderful brew very smooth and refreshing

I found the instructions spot on and the end result was excellent. Next I’ll try the whitehouse honey ale. I enjoyed the video on it also. I didn’t know until then that this was actually made at the White House.

This Honey Porter is very smooth with a nice head. It exceeded my expectations for a one gallon batch! I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys darker beers.
