1 good, the other, not so much

I ordered two packages. One looked good but the other was crystalized. May have been old. Stilled seemed to work OK.

Well, it was certainly sugar.

Package arrived quickly, nothing was damaged. It's sugar solution, so there isn't much to say, qualitatively, about it. My one complaint is the regular emails asking me to provide a review of a sugar or a pound of specialty grain. Seriously, Midwest - I love ya, but don't nag me. :)

Key ingredient in Trappist ales

This is a staple that you will be using if you make Trappist ales like I do. It's better quality than some of the cheap substitutes and lightens the body of the beer.

Dubbels and tripels should benefit from this

Add it 10 minutes before flame out. The sugar adds alcohol and thins the beer out a little, making it lighter and more drinkable. It dissolves easily and is better than the hard sugar.
