Product Details

American Oak Infusion Spiral Light Toast contributes fresh oak, coconut and fruit flavors.

Infusion Spirals are easy to use, time saving, economical, environmentally friendly, as well as being high-quality.

Several years ago, Russell Karasch of the Barrel Mill in Avon Minnesota came up with a wonderful idea: Create an oak alternative that delivers as good or better results than the American and French Oak barrels currently used to create premium wines. And he did just that. Not only did he create this perfectly toasted oak alternative, but he did so in a way that gives you unrivaled taste and aroma, while saving you time and your bottom line. Infusion Spirals are made of ultra premium American & French Oak sapwood, no bark, no knots. This unique process distributes the flavor evenly and can fully flavor a barrel in as little as six weeks.

Light Toast American Oak Spirals

I starting using these spirals and year ago. I noticed a huge difference in the taste of the wine. Much smoother and without a heavy oak taste. They are very easy to use in a carboy by wrapping a string around the top and popping it in the wine. Very pleased with these spirals compared to using oak chips.

Handy and Convenient

Provides that barrel aged flavor. I appreciate how I can easily snap these to size depending on how much oak character I need.

Vanilla Oak

The spiral adds a nicer oak flavor than chips. It has more depth and a nicer vanilla taste. While the chips taste like wood, this taste has several components.

The best oak for wine

I've tried cubes and chips and for my money this has a nicer , more even oakiness._x000D_I just lower it in the carboy and 30 days later start tasting.
