This flask uses a 46-50 mm Foam Stopper.

Do not apply direct heat to the flask.

I like to make my starters in this flask, it works great.

Good size for yeast starters

Its actually a little larger than my old flask, so there is less chance of a boil over. It's not as thick so it can break more easily.

Good for making a starter

It has more interior volume than my other 2 liter flask. The glass is not as thick but so far it still works fine on the gas stove then after a minute on a oven mitt, it goes into the sink.

1000 ML is too small, this is a good size. _x000D_I use it on a gas stove without problems, _x000D_I will say it's a little thinner than my friends flask, so it's not as sturdy or well made.
