Product Details

Bottle Seal Wax Beads help you achieve a tough, moisture-resistant coating that preserves freshness, flavor and fragrance in your wines, or beers, with these blends of FDA approved waxes with FD&C approved colors. We recommend melting the beads in soup cans; no mess to clean up off of pots, and any unused portion may be left in the can for remelting at a later time. You can dip the bottle in the wax for a more rustic look, or use a small measuring cup or spoon if you want the wax in a specific location. A one lb. bag of beads is good for approximately 65 bottles.

Works Mint!

Doing a take away gift for the upcoming wedding and it works great. I know you can use all purpose glue sticks with crayons but I would use the white with some food coloring over that. Quick note on use, I think that i found the melting temp of 170 or so fahrenheit and I used an electric griddle with a pot of water and soup can. I would suggest picking a griddle up from thrift store before using the stove and put down some news print or anything that you can just throw away because you will make some of a mess. another cool thing is that we used a brass stamp and if you would like to do the same, go short on the first layer and then stamp the second layer with a ice cold die, keep a bowl of ice water to cool it between bottles.

Great for special brews

I got this wax for my holiday brew. I bought a metal snowflake wax seal stamp and stamped the tops of the bottles so they looked amazing. Comes off fairly easy when you want to open the bottle, or if you don't dip it perfect, you can just re-melt it and try again.

Classic look

It reminds me of the French wine bottles from old movies where they are sealed in wax. It looks great and is easy to melt on and peel off.

Great Item

This wax looks great on beer and wine bottles. It does have a matte finish, not shiny like you see on those bottles of bourbon. I love the finished look this gave my homebrews.
