Ordered these as part of a floral arrangement centerpiece for a party at a local brewery. They were perfect!

They are amber glass. They hold liquid and they have a crown finish. I couldn't ask for anything more. Unless they have a version that fills and caps itself. Or maybe one really large bottle. Then you only have to fill one, not 50. Glass thick enough to hold the pressure would be too heavy. We'll need it to be lighter. Maybe metal? Wait, would we want to open all 5 gallons all at once? We're gonna need a way to get it out without exposure to oxygen. Maybe like one glass at a time. What could we use to push it out? A hand pump? No oxygen again. A blatter we can squeeze? No, remember metal. We're gonna need a gas of some kind. If only this existed. Welp. Back to filling bottles

These are awesome, substantial bottles with a great "hand feel" that can handle higher carbonation and bigger beer like Belgian dubbels and so on. You do need a proper bench capper to make use of them, as others have pointed out, but that is an easy upgrade investment decision that seriously pays off.
