Product Details

This pale, light-bodied golden ale is copyrighted by, brewed in, and named for the German city of Köln. Kolschbier is traditionally given a long, cold aging period like a lager, which makes for a very smooth and clean beer. A small dose of German Hallertau hops cuts the richness of the malt. "Spritzy" is a word often used to describe Kolsch - very refreshing, and a popular lawnmower beer for beer snobs!

If you enjoyed Cologne Kolsch, you'll love this kit!

The shipping was slow

My order sat in the warehouse unshipped until I finally emailed twice to see why it was taking so long. I was told the company was having staffing issues. I found a better supplier so good luck.

First time Kolsch

I followed the step mash process which takes a little longer however the results have been very good. The grain bill is as simple as it gets! I nailed the OG before fermenting for nine days then cold crashed for three days prior to kegging. Two if my neighbors and my wife have requested a new batch asap!

Krushing the Kolsch

Still in the primary. Looking forward to a clean post lawn mowing refresher!

Kolsch All Grain kit

One of my Favorite beers to brew. Clean & crisp. Going to lager it this time... I've made this beer twice in the past. Always hits the post for any occasion...

Kolsch all grain kit

Overall a good experience. The only issue was the grain appeared to be overly ground with lots of finely pulverized grain resulting in my first ever stuck sparge.
